Placing a Model

In SiteVision, there are two ways to position a model on site:

  • Automatic. Automatic Placement requires high accuracy GNSS. It also requires and uses coordinate system information within the data, or reads a Site Calibration file associated with the model.

See Placing a Model: Automatic Placement.

  • Measured. Measured Placement requires high accuracy GNSS.

This method is useful when you want to use GNSS for precise outdoor positioning for a model that is not automatically placed correctly. For example, when there is no Site Calibration file assigned, when there is a difference between the source data and the GNSS on site, or you want to make an adjustment to the Automatic Placement.

See Placing a model: Measured Placement.
