SiteVision System Requirements
Supported Devices
Trimble SiteVision runs on the following Trimble devices powered by the Windows 10 operating system:
- Trimble TSC7 controller / Trimble Ranger 7 data collector / Spectra Geospatial Ranger 7 data collector
- Trimble T7 tablet / Trimble Yuma 7 tablet computer
It also requires one of the following Trimble GNSS receivers, with tilt sensor technology, connected to the device via Bluetooth technology:
- Trimble R12i GNSS receiver
- Trimble SPS986 GNSS Smart Antenna
Internet Connectivity
You must have an Internet connection to download models from Trimble Connect.
- You must have logged into SiteVision on the device previously.
- To use a model (or models) from Trimble Connect, you must have already downloaded it / them from Trimble Connect while connected to the Internet. You must use the Connect Local option to load the model.
NOTE – You can load data directly on to your device (in TRB format) using the My Data workflow. This option allows for offline operation independent of Trimble Connect. See loading a model that is on your device using My Data.
- You cannot create a model directly in SiteVision in the field; the New Model option is not available.
- You cannot sync measured data to Trimble Connect.
TIPS –
- Trimble recommends using a local SIM Card, or Hotspot over a Wi-Fi connection.
- When using SiteVision over Wi-Fi, make sure that the Wi-Fi password is set up and that your Wi-Fi connection has access to the Internet. If you experience difficulties using the application, such as the GNSS positioning becoming inaccurate, this may be caused by your Wi-Fi connection not allowing access to the GNSS correction services through the Internet. In these cases, Trimble recommends that you turn off Wi-Fi on your device and use mobile data over a 3G or 4G network.
